A career without limits

As the nation’s flag carrier, we take great pride in connecting Britain with the world and the world with Britain.

It’s something we’ve been doing for over 100 years, ever since we launched the world’s first international scheduled air service between London and Paris.

This originality has been in our blood since day one. It’s the spirit we share with the people that fly with us, our partners, and our colleagues.

So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in far-flung places, a job at British Airways is yours to make.

We know great things can happen when you’re inspired to think big and bring your ambition to work every day, which is why, at British Airways the sky is never the limit.

The role:

Digital Asset Executive

You’ll be part of the Creative Studio within our Customer directorate, supporting the management of the digital assets that bring the British Airways brand to life. You’ll help ensure our images and videos are organised, accessible and securely stored, while maintaining accurate licensing, copyright and version-control information so teams can find and use the right assets with confidence.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the Digital Assets Manager in ensuring digital assets are correctly stored, catalogued and tagged within BA’s digital asset management system
  • Respond to daily image and video sourcing and upload requests from internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with the Creative Studio and external agencies to source imagery from third-party stock libraries
  • Support the continuous improvement of processes and workflows across BA’s digital asset supply chain
  • Regularly audit digital assets for accuracy, relevance and compliance with licensing and copyright requirements
  • Track asset expiry dates to help ensure content remains appropriately licensed for use
  • Proactively report system issues and troubleshoot user challenges relating to access and file formats
  • Train teams and new users on accessing, uploading and downloading digital assets, supporting adoption of DAM best practice
  • Maintain effective version control, ensuring the most up-to-date assets are available and changes are accurately recorded
  • Support tracking and reporting of asset usage, access patterns and the efficiency of the digital asset management system

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

  • Good understanding of production workflows and creative processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise changing requests and briefs
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and adapt plans to meet requirements
  • Proactive approach, with the ability to ask questions, absorb new information quickly and apply it effectively
  • Highly collaborative and people-centred approach, with the ability to work effectively within virtual teams
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on maintaining accurate, up-to-date asset information
  • Strong ability to categorise and analyse metadata
  • Creative, dynamic and supportive approach with a can-do attitude
  • Strong appreciation for brand consistency and quality

Your experience:

  • Experience adding descriptive metadata into a digital asset management system
  • Proven experience using planning and briefing tools, with Adobe Workfront experience desirable
  • Previous experience working within a studio environment or creative team

What we offer:

We believe that all the people who work with us should feel valued for the part they play. It’s one of the reasons our rewards go far beyond a competitive salary.

From the day you join us, you’ll get access to brilliant staff travel benefits including unlimited basic and premium standby tickets on British Airways flights. You’ll also receive up to 30 discounted ‘Hotline’ airfares per year for yourself, friends, and family.

At British Airways you’ll have the chance to take on new challenges and move forward in a way that feels right for you. We encourage all those who work for us to consider opportunities right across our business to help you develop and progress.

We never stand still, and we don’t expect our people to either.
