A career without limits

As the nation’s flag carrier, we take great pride in connecting Britain with the world and the world with Britain.

It’s something we’ve been doing for over 100 years, ever since we launched the world’s first international scheduled air service between London and Paris.

This originality has been in our blood since day one. It’s the spirit we share with the people that fly with us, our partners, and our colleagues.

So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in far-flung places, a job at British Airways is yours to make.

We know great things can happen when you’re inspired to think big and bring your ambition to work every day, which is why, at British Airways the sky is never the limit.

The role:

Join our People team at British Airways as an Inclusion & Diversity Manager. You will create meaningful change by leading the implementation of our I&D vision and improving diversity across Aviation from Pilots and Cabin Crew to Engineers, while embracing the opportunities ahead of us. Working with senior stakeholders, you will deliver initiatives that strengthen inclusion and representation across the airline. We are looking for someone who is innovative, highly collaborative, and able to turn ambition into measurable progress.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive the delivery of British Airways’ Inclusion & Diversity strategy, ensuring clear alignment with business priorities and transformation goals.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders and the People team to embed Inclusion & Diversity across the colleague lifecycle, from recruitment through to development and retention.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of I&D initiatives, from scoping and design through to implementation and impact evaluation.
  • Use data and insights to identify focus areas, track progress against KPIs, and support evidence-based decision making.
  • Manage governance, reporting, and regulatory requirements, including pay gap reporting and external benchmarking.
  • Coach and influence leaders to drive behavioural change and create a more inclusive and accountable culture.

What You’ll Bring to British Airways:

  • A self-driven, structured approach with a strong focus on delivering outcomes.
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels.
  • A proactive, insight-driven mindset with a passion for Inclusion & Diversity and driving meaningful change.
  • Solution‑focused and action‑orientated, able to balance pace, risk and impact in a fast‑moving environment

Your experience:

Essential criteria

  • Proven experience operating as an Inclusion & Diversity practitioner within a complex, matrixed organisation, translating strategy into practical interventions
  • Strong understanding of UK equality legislation and regulatory considerations (e.g. Equality Act 2010), with the ability to apply this confidently and pragmatically in a business context
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data to diagnose issues, identify root causes and inform targeted, evidence‑based interventions
  • Experience influencing, coaching and challenging stakeholders at different levels to drive behavioural change and embed conscious inclusion
  • Strong project management capability, with experience delivering multiple initiatives simultaneously from scoping through to evaluation of impact
  • Ability to deliver clear, engaging and credible presentations to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders
  • Experience using insight and feedback from colleagues (e.g. engagement data, listening exercises, focus groups) to inform and refine I&D activity
  • High levels of curiosity, learning agility and personal commitment to Inclusion & Diversity, with a continuous improvement mindset

Desirable criteria

  • Experience working within a highly regulated or operationally complex environment (e.g. aviation, transport, engineering or similar)
  • Experience using data visualisation tools such as Tableau to present insights and track progress across business areas or geographies
  • Experience embedding I&D into core people processes such as recruitment, performance, talent, learning, wellbeing, policy, property or accessibility
  • Experience managing or contributing to I&D governance, reporting or assurance processes

What we offer:

We believe that all the people who work with us should feel valued for the part they play. It’s one of the reasons our rewards go far beyond a competitive salary.

From the day you join us, you’ll get access to brilliant staff travel benefits including unlimited basic and premium standby tickets on British Airways flights. You’ll also receive up to 30 discounted ‘Hotline’ airfares per year for yourself, friends, and family.

At British Airways you’ll have the chance to take on new challenges and move forward in a way that feels right for you. We encourage all those who work for us to consider opportunities right across our business to help you develop and progress.

We never stand still, and we don’t expect our people to either.

Inclusion & Diversity

At British Airways we all have a part to play in creating an inclusive place to work. Diverse representation among our people is really important to us and we recognise that all our colleagues are uniquely different and bring their own originality, creativity and identity to work.

Inclusion and diversity is a key driver of innovation and we’re committed to creating a culture where everyone feels that they can be themselves. We’re looking for people from all backgrounds and cultures to join us and be a part of our journey to become a Better BA as we continue to connect Britain with the world and the world with Britain.
