A career without limits

As the nation’s flag carrier, we take great pride in connecting Britain with the world and the world with Britain.

It’s something we’ve been doing for over 100 years, ever since we launched the world’s first international scheduled air service between London and Paris.

This originality has been in our blood since day one. It’s the spirit we share with the people that fly with us, our partners, and our colleagues.

So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in far-flung places, a job at British Airways is yours to make.

We know great things can happen when you’re inspired to think big and bring your ambition to work every day, which is why, at British Airways the sky is never the limit.

The role: Financial Reporting Analyst

Join our Finance and Transformation team and play a key part in how British Airways reports its performance. This team sits right at the centre of the business — pulling together the numbers, shaping the annual report and making sure what we share externally is clear, accurate and robust.

It’s visible work, often delivered to tight timelines, and it really matters. The output lands with senior leadership, the Board and external stakeholders — so attention to detail and good judgement go a long way here.

What you’ll do:

  • Support BA’s group consolidation and help produce Financial Statements in line with IFRS and the Companies Act
  • Contribute to IAG’s quarterly and annual reporting cycles, ensuring BA’s inputs are accurate and on time
  • Take ownership of parts of the Annual Report & Accounts — pulling together inputs and making sure everything stacks up
  • Prepare statutory accounts for BA subsidiaries and other required reporting (including surveys and disclosures)
  • Work closely with auditors, IAG Finance and internal teams to explain figures and respond to queries
  • Maintain strong financial controls and keep processes up to date as requirements evolve
  • Get involved in systems and process changes across SAP and reporting tools — there’s plenty happening here!
  • Support senior stakeholder briefings, including materials for the CFO and Board

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

A steady, thoughtful approach and a real interest in how financial reporting fits into the bigger picture. There’s a lot of detail in this role, but it’s not just about producing numbers — it’s about understanding them and being able to explain what’s going on in a straightforward way.

Collaboration matters too. The role works across Finance, with IAG and with auditors, so building good relationships and communicating clearly will make a big difference. Organisation, curiosity and a willingness to improve things as you go will help you settle in quickly.

Your experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar)
  • Experience in audit or financial reporting within a large or complex organisation
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements
  • Familiarity with Companies Act disclosures
  • Experience with finance systems such as SAP (or similar reporting tools) is helpful

What we offer:

We believe that all the people who work with us should feel valued for the part they play. It’s one of the reasons our rewards go far beyond a competitive salary.

From the day you join us, you’ll get access to brilliant staff travel benefits including unlimited basic and premium standby tickets on British Airways flights. You’ll also receive up to 30 discounted ‘Hotline’ airfares per year for yourself, friends, and family.

At British Airways you’ll have the chance to take on new challenges and move forward in a way that feels right for you. We encourage all those who work for us to consider opportunities right across our business to help you develop and progress.

We never stand still, and we don’t expect our people to either.

Inclusion & Diversity

At British Airways we all have a part to play in creating an inclusive place to work. Diverse representation among our people is really important to us and we recognise that all our colleagues are uniquely different and bring their own originality, creativity and identity to work.

Inclusion and diversity is a key driver of innovation and we’re committed to creating a culture where everyone feels that they can be themselves. We’re looking for people from all backgrounds and cultures to join us and be a part of our journey to become a Better BA as we continue to connect Britain with the world and the world with Britain.
