A career without limits

As the nation’s flag carrier, we take great pride in connecting Britain with the world and the world with Britain.

It’s something we’ve been doing for over 100 years, ever since we launched the world’s first international scheduled air service between London and Paris.

This originality has been in our blood since day one. It’s the spirit we share with the people that fly with us, our partners, and our colleagues.

So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in far-flung places, a job at British Airways is yours to make.

We know great things can happen when you’re inspired to think big and bring your ambition to work every day, which is why, at British Airways the sky is never the limit.

The Role: Corporate Communications Lead

Join our dynamic Corporate Affairs team at British Airways as a Corporate Communications Lead, where you'll shape and deliver strategic communications that champion our corporate narrative. From financial reporting and sustainability to elevating the external profile of our CEO, this role is vital in promoting our strategy and strengthening our brand reputation across the media landscape.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the creation and delivery of impactful corporate communications that align with British Airways’ strategic objectives and narrative.
  • Translate complex data and issues such as financial, sustainability, and diversity reporting into clear, engaging communications.
  • Proactively identify and deliver high-value media opportunities, including interviews and thought leadership, that amplify the voice of our leadership.
  • Partner closely with our CEO and C-suite to develop media engagement strategies and create compelling speeches, briefs, and presentation content for global events.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key journalists, national editors, and industry correspondents, ensuring our voice is well represented in the media.
  • Support our press office and Media Centre operations, especially during times of disruption or crisis.
  • Monitor industry activity and ensure strategic communications are amplified across wider Corporate Affairs channels.
  • Participate in crisis preparedness and on-call activities to support reputational resilience.

What You’ll Bring to British Airways:

  • A collaborative, proactive approach with strong initiative and a keen sense of judgement.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, able to manage priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities across internal and external stakeholders.
  • A positive, flexible mindset with resilience under pressure and a passion for storytelling that drives strategic impact.

Your Experience:

  • Significant experience in corporate or professional communications, with a focus on media engagement and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrable ability to create high-quality, strategic communication plans and content.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership profiles, particularly in complex or sensitive communication scenarios.
  • Strong understanding of the news and political landscape, with an instinct for storytelling and media opportunity.
